Professor Dr. Amin Mousavi

Biography

Amin Mousavi is an Associate Professor and Department Head in the Department of Educational Psychology and Special Education at the University of Saskatchewan. His research focuses on educational psychological measurement, particularly in the areas of psychometrics and statistical modeling. His expertise encompasses various methodologies including structural equation modeling, latent variable modeling, and multilevel modeling, particularly in the context of educational data mining. He has published extensively on themes such as psychometric instrument development and educational measurement. An advocate of quantitative research methods, he has been involved in numerous projects that aim to enhance assessment literacy and educational assessment in higher education. Dr. Mousavi teaches both undergraduate and graduate courses, including research methods and advanced statistical research methods, and supervises graduate students pursuing their Master's and Doctoral degrees. He has served in leadership roles within professional educational associations, exemplifying his commitment to advancing research and thought in the field of education.
