Dr. Anita Pettersson Strömbäck

Biography

Anita Pettersson-Strömbäck is an Associate Professor at the Department of Psychology, focusing on the psychological perspectives of working life and health. Her research examines how people's mental models of reality affect their behavior within organizations and how the external environment influences these dynamics. She has conducted studies on the impact of communication, group dynamics, and leadership within organizational social structures. Her work includes investigating the transitions to flexible office environments and their effects on work and health productivity. She has taught in various university programs including the Medical Program, International Crisis Conflict Program, and the Psychology Program. Anita has also taken on expert assignments related to environmental psychology and the psychosocial work environment for organizations such as Örnsköldsvik Municipality, Boliden Aitik, the Swedish Environmental Court, and the Swedish Defence Research Agency. She is a member of the research group AKTIKON, which focuses on work, organization, and society, and is involved in ongoing research projects examining hybrid office models and their impacts on work environments.
