Biography

Anna Filipi is an Associate Professor teaching in the Master of TESOL program at Monash University and currently serves as the Director of Student Engagement in the Faculty of Education. She has held administrative positions such as Course Leader for the Master of Education (TESOL) and Master of Applied Linguistics for Language Teachers. An applied linguist, Anna's research focuses on the applications of Conversation Analysis (CA) in child social development, bilingual development through storytelling in family contexts, and children's spatial interactions with peers. Over the years, she has established a solid international reputation with important publications, including monographs and co-edited volumes. She has managed significant language testing programs and contributed to bilingual education initiatives. Anna supervises PhD and Master's students, helping them achieve successful completions. Her research interests include Conversation Analysis, bilingualism, language assessment, and early childhood interaction.
