Professor Dr. Berit Aronsson

Biography

Berit Aronsson has been a teacher of Spanish as a second language at Umeå University since 1998 and has served as an Associate Professor in Foreign Language Teaching and Learning since 2015. Her main teaching areas include Spanish pronunciation, phonetics, methodology within the Teacher Training Program, and ICT-based teaching alongside L2 learning. Her research primarily focuses on L2 prosody, particularly in L2 Spanish, language acquisition, and pragmatics within the context of second language acquisition. Berit is particularly interested in oral interactional competence from a foreign language learning perspective, taking into account pragmatic and psychological factors involved in language learning.
