Biography

Bozidar Butorac is a Senior Lecturer in Physics Education at King's College London. He obtained his Bachelor of Science degree in Physics from the University of Zagreb, Croatia, in 2004. He completed his PhD in Solid State Physics with a theoretical study of point defects in diamond at King's College London in 2008, where he was awarded an Overseas Research Scholarship for his doctoral research. Bozidar has been teaching since 2009, starting as a Teaching Fellow at King's in 2010, and advancing to a Lecturer in Physics Education in 2019, and then to a Senior Lecturer in 2021. His research interests focus on Physics Education Research (PER), where he leads a group that conducts evidence-based research on the delivery of learning physics and the student experience. The PER group at King's College London was formed in 2021, reflecting the growing focus on innovative teaching practices and active learning in undergraduate laboratories, along with exploring reasoning and problem-solving predictors of academic performance.
