Dr. Connson Locke

Biography

Connson Chou Locke joined the Department of Management in 2008. She teaches leadership, organizational behavior, negotiation, and decision-making. Professor Locke has received multiple teaching awards, including the Department of Management Outstanding Teaching Contribution Award and the LSE Excellence in Education Award. After earning her PhD and MSc in Business Administration (Organizational Behavior) from the University of California at Berkeley, and a BA in Sociology with honors from Harvard University, she entered academia. Before her academic career, Dr. Locke worked for 16 years as an educator, manager, and management consultant across the United States and Asia Pacific, where she served as the Asia Pacific Regional Training Development Manager for Boston Consulting Group. She oversaw learning development and consulting for staff across the region and has extensive experience designing leadership development programs that have been implemented in 20 countries across Europe, Asia Pacific, the United States, and Australia. Professor Locke's research expertise includes leadership, followership, power and influence, gender stereotypes, and organizational culture and change.
