Biography

Dorota Gaskins joined the School of Education, Communication & Society at King’s College London in 2020 under a Leverhulme-funded Early Career Fellowship studying how two to six-year-old children acquire metaphors. In 2023, she was appointed as a Lecturer in Applied Linguistics, continuing her research in the department. She is interested in supervising PhD students on topics related to mono-/bilingual language acquisition, usage-based linguistics, and figurative language development. Her research outputs include various articles and contributions to journals specializing in bilingualism and language education.
