Biography

Elizabeth Duval is an Assistant Professor of Psychiatry and a Psychology Faculty Associate at the University of Michigan. She obtained her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the University of Missouri-Kansas City and completed her clinical internship at the VA Ann Arbor Healthcare System. Additionally, she conducted postdoctoral work at the University of Michigan within the VA Ann Arbor Health System. She is involved in multiple research projects utilizing fMRI and physiological measures to investigate differences in brain function and physiology associated with emotion regulation, threat reactivity, attentional control, and memory among healthy adults, social anxiety, and PTSD. As a licensed clinical psychologist, Dr. Duval actively treats adults with anxiety-related disorders, employing evidence-based behavioral techniques. Furthermore, she supervises and teaches practicum students, postdoctoral fellows, and clinical trainees.
