Biography

Elizabeth Simmons-O'Neill is an Emerita Principal Lecturer in the Department of English at the University of Washington. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in English American Literature from the University of Montana in 1978, followed by a Master of Arts and Ph.D. in English Language Literature from the University of Washington in 1982 and 1988, respectively. Through her dedication, she aims to enhance the writing skills of students across various educational levels, particularly focusing on engaging local high school students in college-level English studies.
