Dr. Eman Saadah

Biography

Eman Saadah is a Teaching Professor and Director of the Commonly Taught Languages Program at Illinois University, with a focus on Arabic language education. She also serves as the Language Coordinator and Advisor for the Minor in Arabic Studies. Saadah is affiliated with multiple campus centers, including the Center for African Studies and the Global Studies Center, alongside her role as a Lecturer in LAS Global Studies. Her research interests focus on language acquisition and the grammatical features of Arabic, particularly among heritage speakers. She has published significant works in linguistics, contributing to discussions on Arabic morphology and cross-linguistic influence in language learning. Notable publications include studies on the oral production of Egyptian Palestinian Arabic heritage speakers, the morphological patterns of Arabic plurals, and transfer effects among Standard Arabic learners.
