Dr. Emily Jones

Biography

Emily Jones has 15 years of experience in designing, delivering, and evaluating undergraduate, graduate, doctoral, and continuing education courses. She consults with institutions to effectively integrate pedagogically sound technology into both face-to-face and online courses. For a decade, Emily worked in health science education at Johns Hopkins University, where she managed and collaborated closely with the simulation center at the Johns Hopkins School of Nursing. There, she developed innovative methods for technology integration and evaluation within clinical courses. Additionally, Emily partnered with the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine to create a mobile feedback system aimed at enhancing teaching effectiveness during rounds for senior residents. Her current research focuses on theory-based simulation debriefing strategies, the effects of observational learning on reflective practice, and utilizing mobile devices for evaluating learning in critical professional domains.
