Biography

Ernest Ampadu joined KTH Royal Institute of Technology in January 2021 as an Associate Professor in Mathematics Education within the Department of Learning, School of Industrial Engineering and Management. Prior to his appointment at KTH, Ernest worked as a Senior Lecturer and Head of the Department of Teacher Education at the University of Ghana. He also served as an Assistant Professor of Mathematics at Richmond International University in London and has been a mathematics lecturer at Anglia Ruskin University. Ernest holds a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics Education from the University of Cape Coast, Ghana, a Research Master's Degree in International Comparative Education from Stockholm University, Sweden, a Master of Arts degree in Adult Learning and Global Change from Linköping University, Sweden, and a PhD in Education (Mathematics) from Anglia Ruskin University, United Kingdom. His primary research interests include Mathematics Education, focusing on curriculum development, assessment, pedagogy policy, and teacher development. With over 20 years of experience as a teacher educator and researcher, Ernest has conducted both quantitative and qualitative research, including work with statistical analysis software such as SPSS and STATS DIRECT for various projects. He has participated in international research projects within a university environment and has published several articles in peer-reviewed journals and book chapters.
