Biography

Fernando Carnauba received a doctoral degree in Mathematics Education from Teachers College, Columbia University, and earned a Master's degree in Economics from the University of São Paulo and another Master's degree in Mathematics Education from Teachers College. He currently focuses on enhancing teacher education programs through a network of 20 Brazilian universities in partnership with the Lemann Center at Stanford Graduate School of Education. This network develops and provides professional development programs for Mathematics and Science teachers in public schools across Brazil. His research interests include comparative education, student achievement, and methodologies for improving education. He is actively involved in the Master's and Doctoral programs at Stanford, advising students and supervising research as part of his academic role.
