Biography

Fiona Hunt has a background primarily in academic libraries and has taught information literacy skills to postsecondary students. She has worked collaboratively to integrate information literacy into the institution’s curriculum. In her role as a liaison librarian, she has undertaken collection development and library instruction in various subject areas. With 15 years of experience in academic institutions in the United Arab Emirates, Fiona has enjoyed the opportunity to teach and provide library services. She has also worked in public libraries, providing readers’ advisory, reference services, and technology assistance. Currently, she is the chair of the Library Information Technology Program at Langara College and teaches full time.
