Biography

Geneviève Barabé is an assistant professor in mathematics education at the primary level. She completed a dual bachelor's degree in mathematics and mathematics teaching at the Université de Sherbrooke, where she also obtained her master's degree in education sciences (with a focus on mathematics teaching). Following her training at the Université de Sherbrooke, she worked as a high school mathematics teacher. Subsequently, she pursued doctoral studies in education sciences (with a focus on mathematics teaching) at the Université du Québec à Montréal. During her doctoral studies, she worked from 2017 to 2022 as a pedagogical advisor in mathematics at the high school level while also working with teachers at the primary level and with educational consultants.
