Biography

Geoffrey G. Pinchbeck holds PhDs in Education with a focus on Teaching English as a Second Language (TESL) and Medical Biochemistry. He has substantial experience teaching at both graduate and undergraduate levels, focusing primarily on TESL Methodology, Pedagogical Grammar, and Research Methodology. His international teaching experience spans five years in various countries including Quebec, Japan, and Saudi Arabia. As an instructor, materials developer, and language curriculum designer, he has operated in diverse contexts, such as English for Academic Purposes and English as a Second Language (ESL). His dissertation utilized corpus linguistic methods to scrutinize vocabulary use in academic writing, linking it to the performance in subject areas like Social Studies and Mathematics. His research aims to enhance computer-assisted language learning (CALL) methodologies, particularly in the design of curricula that integrate language instruction with content learning.
