Biography

Hedwige Meyer teaches various levels of French at the University of Washington. With a Master’s degree from the University of Washington obtained in 1992, she has significantly contributed to French language pedagogy. Her co-authored works include the North American edition of Défi Francophone (Édition Maison des Langues, 2021) and the Rond-Point textbook workbook (Prentice Hall, 2006, 2015). Additionally, Meyer has published several French workbooks aimed at enhancing language acquisition, including the Supplementary Exercices for French 100 (McGraw Hill, 1995), and workbooks for Rendez-Vous (5th edition, McGraw Hill, 1998), Encore des Exercices (McGraw Hill, 1998), as well as the 2nd and 3rd editions of Vis-à-Vis (McGraw Hill, 2000, 2004). Her dedication to task-based language teaching reflects her educational philosophy in teaching French as a second language.
