Dr. Ian Julie

Biography

Ian Michael Julie is a Professor in the Department of Emergency Medicine at UC Davis Health System. His professional philosophy emphasizes providing quality emergency care regardless of available resources. He is dedicated to medical education and simulation training, sharing his passion for patient care with students, residents, and colleagues. Ian Julie serves as the Medical Director of the Center for Simulation Education at UC Davis, where he co-directs the Medical Education Simulation Fellowship. His clinical interests include Emergency Medicine and Pediatric Emergency Medicine, working across various departments within the UC Davis medical system. As a leader in his field, his research and academic interests encompass medical education, experiential learning, cognitive errors, procedure training, ultrasound, resuscitation, airway management, and telehealth practices. He holds board certifications in Emergency Medicine and has received numerous accolades for his contributions to medical education and faculty development. Ian is a member of prestigious organizations such as the American College of Emergency Physicians and the Society for Academic Emergency Medicine.
