Biography

Ing Ru Chen is a Senior Lecturer at the National University of Singapore, affiliated with the Centre for Language Studies. She obtained her Bachelor's degree in German Language and Literature from Fu-Jen University in Taipei, Taiwan, followed by a Master's degree in Phonetics from the University of Trier in Germany. Ms. Chen has extensive experience in teaching German as a foreign language, having previously taught at Tamkang University in Taipei. She joined NUS as a full-time lecturer in July 2000 after relocating to Singapore. Her contributions to language education have been recognized with awards such as the ATEA in 2012, 2013, and 2014, and she has been placed on the Honour Roll from 2015 to 2019.
