Biography

Ingrid Crozman is a dedicated flute lecturer at the Don Wright Faculty of Music at Western University. A passionate educator, she has extensive experience as a flutist and pedagogue, having previously taught at the University of Calgary for 20 years where she played a significant role in establishing the Community Music Program. Ingrid has also directed the Flute Choir at the University of Calgary and held positions at various prestigious institutions including Mount Royal Conservatory and Medicine Hat College. Her teaching extends into the community where she collaborates with music education students and has presented numerous masterclasses. Ingrid is recognized for her remarkable orchestral contributions as the principal flutist for the Red Deer Symphony Orchestra and has performed with several prominent ensembles including the Calgary Philharmonic Orchestra and the Banff Festival Orchestra. Her interests in historically informed performance have led her to perform and teach Baroque flute across Canada and the United States. Ingrid is actively involved in volunteer activities and serves on the board of the Gordon Jeffery Music Foundation. She enjoys exploring the outdoors and spending time with her dog, Lily.
