Biography

Jeffrey Neilson is an Associate Professor in Economic Geography at the University of Sydney. His research focuses on economic geography, environmental governance, and rural development in Australia and Southeast Asia. He is currently leading a three-year research project exploring the growth of horticulture along the northeastern coastal strip of Australia and its implications for regional development and multifunctional coastal landscapes. Neilson also coordinates the undergraduate major in Environmental Studies and directs postgraduate programs in Environmental Science at his university, teaching various courses relating to environmental science and development.
