Biography

Jenny Robinson is an accomplished educator with a rewarding career as a secondary school Music teacher and Head Teacher. She began teaching secondary Music Methods at the University of New South Wales in 2011 and took on the role of Secondary Methods Coordinator in 2019. Jenny's Master of Music (Music Education) thesis explored the characteristics of inspirational music teachers, while her PhD thesis focused on the factors influencing the working lives of Australian secondary school music teachers. In 2025, she was appointed as a lecturer in the School of Education, where she teaches in the Master of Education, Bachelor of Education (Secondary), Master of Teaching (Secondary), and Bachelor of Education (Primary) programs. Jenny is passionate about music education and advocates for sustaining teachers' careers.
