Biography

Jenny has extensive experience in the successful teaching of secondary science in schools and has a strong track record in teaching and leading Initial Teacher Education (ITE). She served as the Programme Leader for the Secondary PGCE at Bishop Grosseteste University in Lincoln for 10 years and has contributed to the wider sector as Chair of the Universities Council for Education Teachers (UCET) and as an active member of the UCET Executive. Her current research interests include utilizing the Threshold Concepts Framework (TCF) to explore effective science teaching within the context of Initial Teacher Education. Additionally, Jenny is involved in the MEDiC project, which investigates epistemic cognition development in clinical health professions education disciplines. She is also a member of the UCET Sustainability Climate Change Education Group (SCCEG), regularly participating in National Climate Education Action Plan (NCEAP) meetings.
