Dr. Joe Arton

Biography

Joe Arton serves as the Executive Director of the Jones MBA Career Center at Georgia Tech, where he leads the strategic direction of career development and employer engagement for the Full-Time MBA, Evening MBA, Executive MBA, and Master of Science in Management (MSMGT) programs. His work focuses on helping students navigate complex career decisions with clarity and confidence. Joe believes that the career center should act as a trusted partner in not just securing opportunities, but in building long-term professional momentum. He collaborates closely with faculty, alumni, and industry leaders to ensure that students have access to the relationships, resources, and experiences that shape meaningful careers. Prior to joining Georgia Tech, Joe held leadership and teaching roles in the U.S. and U.K. and worked on curriculum design, student experience, and workforce development initiatives. His background includes supporting diverse student populations and building cross-sector partnerships to connect academic learning with evolving industry needs. Joe is committed to advancing the career ecosystem in ways that reflect the college’s values of being connected, experiential, and innovative while helping students design careers that align with their goals and strengths. He has conducted research on curriculum transformation and career readiness, focusing on aligning curriculum with labor market demands and enhancing personalized, accessible career-relevant education.
