Biography

Johan Lundin is a full professor in Informatics at the University of Gothenburg, where he has been a faculty member since 2001. He completed his MSc in Informatics in 2000 and earned his Ph.D. in 2005 from the same institution. His research focuses on the intersection of technology and learning, exploring how digital tools facilitate educational practices and competency management in various contexts. He is particularly interested in the integration of mobile technology in education and has participated in several significant research projects, including the Linneaus Center for Research on Learning, Interaction, and Mediated Communication in Contemporary Society (LinCS). He has contributed to the development of new teaching methodologies and pedagogical methods, collaborating with both public and private organizations. Lundin also supervises bachelor, master's, and Ph.D. students, and has been actively involved in numerous initiatives aimed at enhancing the role of technology in education. In 2018, he was appointed as a vice head of the department with special responsibility for research and Ph.D. education, as well as a guest professor at University West.
