As a learning psychologist and a professor for empirical research on teaching and learning, I focus on understanding how people learn. My research aims to provide insights into the diverse aspects of learning and to develop measures to support it effectively. I conduct experimental investigations and engage with the current state of research through reviews and meta-analyses. The findings of my research serve as a scientific basis for professional actions by individuals in the educational sector, which I communicate through practical lectures. My research interests include Metacomprehension, studying how individuals assess their understanding when learning from texts; Learning and Autism, exploring how autistic students learn and how teachers can support them; Learning from examples, focusing on how learners acquire knowledge about concepts and procedures through examples; and Evaluation of Information, investigating how individuals assess information to make decisions.
