Jorge Méndez-Seijas is the Spanish Language Program Director, Senior Lector II, and Associate Research Scholar at Yale University. He received his Ph.D. in Spanish Linguistics and Second Language Acquisition from Georgetown University. Prior to joining Yale, Jorge taught and served as course and/or program coordinator at Harvard University, Princeton University, Georgetown University, and the University of Rhode Island. Selected publications include works on dialect teaching, oral components in language education, and engaging students in sustainability topics within the Spanish-speaking world. Jorge continues to contribute significantly to the field of language education through research and practical applications.
