Biography

Julie McCarroll holds a Master's degree in Applied Linguistics with a focus on Discourse Studies from Carleton University. She currently engages in research that explores how technologies can motivate and engage learners to achieve their learning outcomes. In 2018, she was awarded a Research Innovation Grant by Carleton University to investigate the use of ePortfolios in education. Julie has been recognized for her teaching excellence, receiving the Favourite Faculty Award in 2021 and the Excellence in Blended Online Teaching Award in 2023.
