Biography

Kevin Brack is a Lecturer in Educational Leadership and the Programme Director of the MEd Leadership Learning at the Moray House School of Education and Sport, University of Edinburgh. He has prior experience as a primary school Head Teacher and was appointed as an Attainment Advisor for Dundee Education Scotland in 2018. His research has focused on Financial Education in the United States and he has presented his findings at school improvement conferences in Denmark and Boston, MA. In 2016, he was appointed to the Minister's Reading Challenge Advisory Group and in 2017, he was shortlisted for the Outstanding Leadership Award at the Quality Improvement Awards. Kevin teaches postgraduate courses including the MEd Leadership Learning and serves as the Course Organiser for the PG Cert in Headship and the PG Cert in Growing Professional Learning. His current research interests include the professional learning of head teachers in Scotland, the impact of masters-level learning on leadership, and professional learning in schools. His past research has also explored the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic on leaders and future leaders, with an article published on July 28, 2023.
