Dr. Kim Dang

Biography

Kim Dang is an Associate Professor in the Faculty of Education at Monash University, specializing in TESOL and Languages Education. She has a rich teaching background spanning two decades, including experience in teacher education and adult education in both Australia and Vietnam. Kim's academic journey began in Vietnam, where she served as a teacher educator at the Faculty of English Language Teacher Education at Vietnam National University. She held various significant positions, including Senior Lecturer in Continuing Education Excellence Development at Monash University, and lectures at the University of Melbourne and La Trobe University. She obtained her PhD from the University of Melbourne, focusing her thesis on teacher education from a socio-cultural perspective. She has published in renowned journals and authored books, with a notable interest in Indigenous education and education policy. Kim's work as a researcher includes numerous collaborations dealing with Indigenous education, emphasizing the importance of policy leadership and professional learning in TESOL.
