I am a doctoral candidate at Albert-Ludwigs-University Freiburg, working under Professor Matthias Nückles in the Department of Empirical Instructional and School Research at the Institute of Educational Sciences. Additionally, I am a fellow at the Di.ge.LL research and junior college (Phase 2), a collaborative project between the University of Freiburg and the Freiburg University of Education. The aim of the college is to develop and examine digital teaching and learning settings to understand how learners can be cognitively activated effectively in a digital learning environment. My dissertation focuses on digital learning diaries, investigating how the integration of AI language models like ChatGPT affects cognitive and metacognitive learning strategies, learning success, and motivation. I teach courses in the Bachelor program of Educational Science and Educational Management on topics related to personnel and organizational development. I regularly supervise theses for students in educational sciences and teaching programs, specifically on promoting learning diary writing.
The program focuses on Educational Science – Teaching and Learning (Lehren und Lernen).
