Biography

Lisa Metzger-Mugg is the Vice President of Program Operations for the Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award, a global youth development organization active in 130 countries, serving as the Chief Operating Officer for its national office in the United States. Previously, she served as the Chief Staff Executive Vice President at Northwestern University, where she led the Institutional Research Office within the Administration and Planning sectors, as well as the Graduate School and the Weinberg College of Arts and Sciences. Prior to her tenure at Northwestern, Lisa headed the Research Evaluation Office at City Colleges of Chicago and conducted clinical research at Johns Hopkins University. Her extensive experience also includes research positions at the American Institutes for Research, the National Institute of Drug Abuse, the National Opinion Research Center at the University of Chicago, Carnegie Mellon University, and the Western Psychiatric Institute Clinic at the University of Pittsburgh. Her research interests center around improving institutional support and programming to advance educational equity, focusing on removing barriers to success for underserved youth.
