Lynn Thoreson, D.O., is an Associate Professor and the Associate Program Director of the Pediatric Residency at the Dell Medical School. She is also the Assistant Dean for Graduate Medical Education. Thoreson completed her medical degree at the Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine and holds a Master of Science in Population Health from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She completed her residency in Pediatrics at UT Southwestern. Thoreson is actively involved in graduate medical education and has a keen interest in individual education, innovative scheduling, and the design of technology for feedback and evaluation of learners. She was selected to join the Dell Medical School Academy of Distinguished Educators in 2020. Her clinical work is primarily focused on inpatient service at Dell Children’s Medical Center, where she cares for hospitalized children and their families. Thoreson enjoys the complexities of inpatient medicine and finds joy in working with children as they heal and grow. She is also engaged with national pediatric hospital medicine (PHM) program directors and contributes to a national subcommittee on PHM evaluation.
