Professor Dr. Marie Mcgregor

Biography

Marie McGregor is a Senior Lecturer and Program Director for the Bachelor of Education (Secondary) at UNSW, where she teaches undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Gifted Education and Educational Psychology. She designs and teaches short courses for teachers and executive staff, focusing on the needs of diverse classrooms and leveraging her vast teaching experience from the UK, Spain, Italy, and Australia. Committed to inclusive and meaningful education, Marie's research emphasizes the motivation and needs of gifted and twice-exceptional learners. Additionally, she consults with schools and families to develop practical strategies supporting students with complex needs, specifically those with giftedness and disabilities. Marie is a frequent speaker at national and international conferences on topics including gifted education, inclusive teaching, and differentiated curriculum design. Her work integrates policy, theory, and classroom practices to enhance educational outcomes for gifted learners.
