Biography

Michalis Constantinides holds a PhD from University College London, along with multiple degrees including an MSc, MA, QTS, and BSc. He works as a Lecturer (Assistant Professor) in Educational Leadership and Management at the University of Glasgow's School of Education, where he also serves as the Programme Director for the MEd in Educational Leadership. Michalis contributes to the School’s strategic operational development, particularly in the role of International Regional Champion for the Americas (North). His research, teaching, and outreach focus on organizational management within education systems, employing collaborative approaches to tackle complex issues in practice. He is particularly interested in how educational leaders can navigate intricate systems to promote positive innovations and enhance educational outcomes. Michalis plays an active role in curriculum design and professional learning across various education systems, having developed professional development programmes for teachers and school leaders in countries including Scotland, England, and New Zealand. He also collaborates with government officials to shape leadership pathways that strengthen system-wide capacity. An active participant in international networks, Michalis co-convenes the educational leadership network at the European Educational Research Association and is a member of several professional organizations. He coordinates and supervises dissertations for the MEd in Educational Leadership, and has delivered presentations and talks for doctoral students and early-career researchers as part of various EU-funded projects.
