Biography

Moira Sarsfield is the Director of the EdTech Lab at Imperial College London’s Faculty of Natural Sciences. She leads the EdTech Lab team in providing high-quality pedagogic and technological support to academic and professional staff within the faculty. Moira collaborates with colleagues at an institutional level to ensure policies and infrastructure are aligned with the educational objectives of both the faculty and the university. Her role includes chairing the Faculty’s Digital Learning Group and co-chairing the Digital Tools Sub-group of Imperial’s Teaching and Learning Board, as well as overseeing the Generative AI Pilot Project. Moira is involved in institution-wide projects that enhance teaching, learning, and assessment activities, such as the Digital Education Platform Project and Learning Analytics Infrastructure Development. She organizes events that showcase new teaching and learning approaches and contributes to educational development initiatives, including the Anatomy Assessment project and online blended learning modules. Additionally, she supports curriculum development and digital innovation projects, providing pedagogical and technical input. Moira is committed to developing innovative educational solutions and fostering professional development within her team.
