Dr. Mukti Ram Chapagain

Biography

Mukti Ram Chapagain is affiliated with the University of Copenhagen's Faculty of Science, focusing on the transformation of food systems and the implications of data in addressing challenges related to food sustainability. His research interests encompass various aspects of the food supply chain, including food literacy, food waste, and the green food transition. Over the past five years, Chapagain has been actively involved in collaborative projects across Europe, aiming to improve understanding of food-related behavioral changes through methodological approaches in place-based food studies. He is also a member of the Spatial Change Planning research network and has contributed significantly to discussions on food-related topics at conferences and lectures. His work is aimed at both academic audiences and the general public, as evidenced by his involvement in media discussions regarding food waste and sustainability initiatives.
