Mustapha Beleh earned a BS in Pharmaceutical Sciences from Alexandria University, Egypt, in 1985, and a PhD in Medicinal Chemistry from Ohio State University in 1992. He started his academic career as an assistant professor of Medicinal Chemistry at South Dakota State University until 1995, after which he returned to Egypt to work as Director of Research at Pharco Pharmaceuticals. He is also involved in exploring remedial education, evaluating curricular changes to the PharmD program, and uncovering factors that predict student success. Beleh has contributed to various committees at the University and is a member of the CRLT faculty advisory board. He has taught numerous courses and oversees the active-learning components in PharmD courses. He also coordinates drug therapeutic monitoring courses and offers electives on drug discovery and alternative medication.
