Dr. Nayat Horozoglu

Biography

Nayat Horozoglu is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Management at the London School of Economics. He focuses on analytically rigorous inclusive management education, with a particular emphasis on embedding sustainability and graduate skills in course design. Nayat supports student development through structured academic mentoring and serves as the EDI Lead in his department. His work integrates rigorous research on the role of artificial intelligence in shaping learning behaviors and assessment, directly impacting his own courses and student engagement. He has made significant contributions to LSE-wide discussions on education for sustainability and collaborates with LSE's Digital Skills Lab. Nayat's research and teaching reflect his commitment to inclusive education and the fostering of reflective capabilities among students. He has been involved in various initiatives aimed at widening participation and improving access to higher education. Nayat holds an MSc and PhD in Management Science (Operational Research) from LSE, where his doctoral research focused on the application of mathematical modeling and game theory to complex decision-making problems in the context of wireless networks. He has over seven years of experience as a consultant advising corporate clients on complex pensions, investment, and risk decisions, and is a Fellow of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries. Nayat has received multiple awards in recognition of his excellence in education and academic contributions.
