Biography

Nick is a Senior Lecturer in Entrepreneurship at the University of Glasgow's Adam Smith Business School, having joined in 2019. He is the Programme Director for the MBA in Executive Education. Nick holds a PhD in Entrepreneurship and an MEd in Academic Practice from the University of Glasgow, as well as an MBA and MSc in Marketing from the University of Strathclyde. He has an undergraduate degree in Economics and is a Fellow of the Research Excellence in Teaching (FRET). Alongside his academic career, Nick is a Chartered Manager (CMgr) and a Chartered Fellow with the Chartered Management Institute. He is also a Certified Business Management Educator (CMBE) recognized by the Chartered Association of Business Schools (CABS). Prior to his current role, he has held various positions in industry, including a director in a manufacturing business and a management consultant focusing on organizational development, culture, and leadership. He has worked with hundreds of companies across various sectors in the UK, designing and delivering executive education programs. In addition, Nick is the director of Sustainable Thinking Scotland, which focuses on growing fresh produce for food banks in the Bo'ness area and produces Biochar for agricultural use and water remediation.
