Dr. Nicole Abi Esber

Biography

Nicole Abi-Esber is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Management at the London School of Economics, specializing in Organisational Behaviour. She holds a PhD in Organisational Behaviour from Harvard Business School. Her research is published in reputable outlets such as The Journal of Personality and Social Psychology. Her work investigates how leaders can create environments that foster psychological safety and inclusion, encouraging open communication among team members. Utilizing methodologies such as group laboratory experiments and conversation analysis, her research often incorporates techniques from natural language processing. Prior to achieving her doctorate, Nicole garnered experience as a product manager for technology startups operating in emerging markets and served as a researcher for the Government of Dubai. She has also worked as a research associate at the Behavioural Lab at Stanford's Graduate School of Business. Nicole's expertise encompasses employee voice, judgment and decision-making, nonverbal behavior, and experimental methods.
