Professor Dr. Noortje Janssen

Biography

Noortje Janssen is an assistant professor at Radboud University’s Behavioural Science Institute, specializing in educational sciences and pedagogical sciences. Her research primarily focuses on metacognition and the transfer of problem-solving tasks. She lectures in both master’s programs, particularly in Learning Processes and Perspectives on Educational Research, as well as in the bachelor’s program in Pedagogical Sciences. Her work involves guiding teachers in conducting practitioner research and integrating technology into teaching. Janssen has a strong interest in how digital testing impacts student learning and has collaborated on research aimed at promoting critical thinking and digital literacy among elementary school students.
