Biography

Olga Viberg obtained her PhD in Informatics from Örebro University School of Business in Sweden. She is an Associate Professor at the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH), specializing in Media Technology with a focus on Technology-Enhanced Learning. At KTH, she has supervised over 60 master thesis projects and more than 80 bachelor degree projects. Viberg coordinates master's courses such as Introduction to Technology-Enhanced Learning and AI Learning, and PhD courses including Introduction to Learning Analytics and Research Methods in Technology Enhanced Learning. She is a cluster leader for 'AI Learning in Higher Education' and is an active member of the Digital Futures group on Educational Transformation at KTH. Viberg has been a keynote speaker at prestigious conferences and has contributed to UNESCO's policy work on quality online education, specifically addressing teachers' AI competency development. She is the main organizer of the Nordic Learning Analytics Summer Institute and has served as a PC chair for high-ranking conferences like Learning@Scale and ECTEL. Currently, she is the Editor-in-Chief of the International Journal of Learning Analytics and served as vice-president of the Society for Learning Analytics Research (SoLAR), with a future presidency in the European Association for Technology-Enhanced Learning (EATEL).
