Professor Dr. Paul Hendriks

Biography

Paul Hendriks is Professor emeritus at Radboud University, specializing in Organizational Design and Development. His research focuses on the infrastructural social conditions affecting organizations and goal-oriented social collaboration systems. He examines learning processes, aiming to integrate concepts developed from various learning literatures, with a particular interest in the processes of knowledge development, retention, and sharing. His work seeks to redefine organizational goals concerning societal impact, particularly in relation to social ecological sustainability. In recent years, he has taken on roles in PhD supervision and as dean, focusing on social conditions that enhance learning using theories of social capital and unwritten rules. His projects investigate characteristics of knowledge processes and the relationship between knowledge creation and sharing, particularly in knowledge-intensive environments such as hospitals. His teaching includes courses on Knowledge and Learning in Organizations.
