Biography

Renee Rui Wang holds a Ph.D. in Chinese Linguistics and Applied Linguistics from Beijing Language Culture University, and an M.A. in Applied Linguistics and another M.A. in East Asian Studies. She teaches Chinese language, English/Chinese translation theory and practice, and linguistic comparison between English and Chinese. In her career, she has taught a variety of courses on Chinese history and culture and has published significant works including a book titled 'Acquisition of Chinese Lexicon by Language Learners' (2018). Additionally, she has co-authored four Chinese language textbooks. Wang's research interests are focused on the acquisition of the Chinese language, Chinese language pedagogy, language curriculum development, and bilingual textbook compilation.
