Dr. Rimma Nyman

Biography

Rimma Nyman is a Senior Lecturer at the University of Gothenburg specializing in Mathematics Education. She has a background as a school teacher and is currently focused on teacher education. Her research interests include the engagement and interest of students in mathematics classrooms, exploring early arithmetic skills, and analyzing curricula used in Swedish primary education. Rimma is active in presenting her research at various academic conferences, including the European Conference on Educational Research (ECER) and the Congress of the European Society for Research in Mathematics Education (CERME). She has investigated the learning experiences of prospective teachers and the impact of teacher education on their professional development. Rimma is also involved with the Centre of Research in Educational Science and Teacher Research, contributing significantly to the field of educational methodology and curriculum studies.
