Biography

Ronald Gallimore is a Distinguished Professor Emeritus in the School of Education & Information Studies at the University of California, Los Angeles. He earned his Ph.D. in Psychology from Northwestern University in 1964, following a Master’s degree in Psychology from the same institution and a Bachelor’s degree in Education from the University of Arizona. His research interests and expertise lie primarily in Advanced Qualitative Methods, Language, Literacy, and Learning. Throughout his career, Gallimore has authored and co-authored a variety of influential publications focusing on educational practices and research methodologies. He emphasizes the importance of effective communication in educational settings and has contributed significantly to the field through his insights into teacher-student interaction and classroom dynamics.
