Dr. Ros Mclellan

Biography

Ros McLellan is an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Education, University of Cambridge, where she specializes in teacher education and development. With extensive experience in the field of psychology and education, Ros has taught in the secondary schooling sector for several years, focusing on student motivation and pedagogical innovation. She holds a PhD in Science Education from King's College, London, an MPhil in Psychology Education from Cambridge, and several qualifications in mathematics and social sciences. Her research interests include student well-being, achievement motivation, mathematics anxiety, and teacher learning. Ros collaborates with practitioners to refine educational strategies and has coordinated the Researching Practice MEd course. She is an active member of several educational organizations, including the British Educational Research Association Council, where she participates in leadership activities. Her recent projects have explored the impacts of educational interventions on student motivation and well-being, particularly in diverse educational contexts, including collaborations with schools in Kazakhstan.
