Biography

Sabine Jentges studied German Studies, Romance Studies, Media Studies, and German as a Foreign Language in Pisa, Venice, and Marburg, where she earned her doctorate in 2005 with research on the use of games in foreign language education. For nearly ten years, she taught the didactics and methodology of foreign language education at the University of Marburg. Additionally, she authored textbooks for German as a Foreign Language. Since 2008, she has been employed at Radboud University Nijmegen as an Associate Professor involved in the German Language and Culture program, the master's program in Linguistics, and the binational master's program Netherlands-Germany Studies. Her research at the CLS research institute focuses primarily on subject didactic issues related to learning modern foreign languages. She is also a member of the national master team for subject didactics of modern foreign languages and supervises the Interreg Project 'Nachbarsprache & buurcultuur' scientifically.
