Biography

Sarah is a lecturer in English Education and the Programme Director for the PGCE at King's College London. She completed her PhD at King's in 2020, where she was funded by the Economic and Social Research Council as part of the London Interdisciplinary Social Science Doctoral Training Partnership. After completing her doctorate, Sarah joined King's as a Post-Doctoral Research Fellow in October 2020. With over 25 years of experience in the teaching profession, she has worked as an English teacher, senior leader, teacher educator, and mentor. Her primary research interests are centered around teacher education, focusing on teacher identity and the learning experiences of postgraduate routes in England. She is particularly interested in initial teacher education, teacher recruitment and retention, and continuing professional development. Sarah is also open to supervising doctoral research in her areas of expertise.
